Paying special attention to grieving families as they face painful milestones. Archway strives to offer hope in a community that understands, and they find ways to help honor and remember the ones who left this world too soon.
The Hangar was originally an old abandoned Quonset Hut that was remodeled into a private residence. This is the heart of their mission. Inviting their homeless friends inside the home, and away from all of the stress that comes from the streets. This is where they spend time together investing in relationships, and these relationships are the foundation for everything they do.
Creative Waco is a nonprofit organization with a mission to grow and support a thriving cultural and creative community in Waco and McLennan County, Texas. As Waco and McLennan County’s arts agency, Creative Waco works to develop successful strategies for growing and supporting our cultural and creative community. It provides a platform for “joined up thinking,” allowing community members to set goals, access new funding, evaluate impact and identify needs.
The Imagination Library of Waco was started in 2020. The mission is to ensure that all children in Waco grow up surrounded by books. It’s that simple. Imagination Library of Waco is the local affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. As the local affiliate, we are responsible for enrolling children and funding the program. Imagination Library of Waco currently serves seven zip codes, with plans to expand to all of McLennan County.
The mission of JMB FIshing is to work to provide meaningful memories by pairing children with terminal illnesses and children with special needs, with veterans, wounded warriors, fishermen, hunters and outdoorsmen in great adventures.
World Hunger Relief Institute is a 40-acre educational farm with a mission to alleviate hunger through education, research, and sustainable agriculture. Since 1976, WHRI has produced over 400 alumni who have become nonprofit leaders, educators, and active community members in Waco and around the world. WHRI envisions a robust, resilient, and regenerative food system that prioritizes local agricultural production, equitable access to healthy food, and ecological sustainability.

The Isaiah 117 House was born out of a need for children and teens who are removed from their homes to have a safe place to go while CPS works diligently to find a foster placement. The home will be filled with friendly and loving volunteers. Children will be given the opportunity to pack a bag with brand new clothing and hygiene items. They’ll have access to a shower, a comfy bed and a warm meal. Isaiah 117 House is changing the way foster care begins.

We help children believe in the miracle of Christmas and the importance of giving. It all started over 20 years ago with a simple idea and a willingness to give back.
